Wolf Rock is just a short stroll to probably the best beach in Cornwall, the stunningly beautiful sandy Porthcurno beach.
Some scenes from the BBC Poldark series were filmed on Porthcurno beach (in Poldark it was called Nampara beach) and on nearby Porthgwarra cove beach.
Porthcurno is home to the world famous outdoor Minack Theatre, carved out of the Cornish cliff side by Rowena Cade and her gardener in the 1930's. The Minack Theatre puts on regular performances throughout the summer.
Porthcurno is also home to the fascinating Porthcurno Telegraph Museum (The Victorian Internet). Both are just a short stroll away from Wolf Rock, as is Porthcurno beach.
From Wolf Rock it is a short walk to the nearby rugged and dramatic Cornish coast path from where you can reach Porthcurno beach but also remote and deserted beaches such as the beautiful Porth Chapel, Pedn Vounder and Nanjizal beaches.
Wolf Rock is only a few miles from Lands End and Sennen Cove and it's famous surfing Sennen beach. Wolf Rock is not far from Mousehole and within easy reach of St. Ives.
